Welcome to local

Local councils provide a wide range of services for their communities. The information shown here is provided to help you understand how well your council is performing across this range of services.

Where does the information come from?

Local councils across Wales are required to report on a number of Performance Indicators each year. There are two types of indicator – National Strategic Indicators which are set by Welsh Government, and Public Accountability Measures set by local government. The information shown here is a combination of both of these sets of indicators.

How often is this information updated?

This information is updated annually in September and relates to the previous financial year (April – March), so the latest data shown here relates to April 2016 – March 2017.

How can I find out more?

You can find out more about the National Strategic Indicators and the Public Accountability Measures on the Local Government Data Unit’s website.

You can access the complete dataset on the Data Unit’s online tool, InfoBaseCymru under the Local authority performance section.
